For our 2028 Expedition, Liberty Troop is sending two distinct crews. Both crews will travel together on the flights and the bus, and we will share Base Camp before and after the trek. However, once we hit the backcountry, each crew will embark on a completely different itinerary tailored to their specific goals. Click on the links to see the differences:

Joint Preparation

While we hike separate paths, we train as one Troop. Both crews are required to attend two overnight shakedowns, to test gear, learn the Philmont cooking method, learn knots (clove hitch, taut line, etc.), and learn the bear bag toss and food safety and storage methods used by Philmont.
